This program trains students for entry-level jobs as Dental Assistants, which is a very varied and comprehensive position. Dental assistants are required to perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. Students take courses to learn to work chair-side as dentists examine and treat patients. Students also have the opportunity to learn about various specialty practice areas including oral surgery, pediatric and orthodontic. - Health Information TechnicianHealth Information Technician
This program trains students to manage, analyze and organize patient medical records and databases for statistical reports and studies. Graduates are able to apply for entry-level jobs as medical records/health information technicians in hospitals, physician offices and more. - Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & RefrigerationHeating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
This program trains students for one of the fasting growing career paths available today. Students learn how to work with new residential, commercial and industrial climate-control systems. - Medical Assisting / Medical Assisting SpecialistMedical Assisting / Medical Assisting Specialist
Medical Assistants are responsible for both normal administrative tasks to keep the offices of physicians and medical professionals running efficiently. Students must be familiar with both administrative tasks as well as medical terminology. Graduates of this program may apply for entry-level employment as a medical assistant. - Medical Billing and Coding SpecialistMedical Billing and Coding Specialist
This hands-on program instructs students in topics such as medical terminology, office management, and coding techniques. Graduates are prepared to work in both office and hospital settings. Students learn how to translate doctors' instructions into medical code as well as how to ensure that insurance documents are properly filled out. - Medical Laboratory TechnicianMedical Laboratory Technician
The student is given the opportunity to obtain the training necessary to become a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) through this 102 quarter credit hour program. Laboratory tests play an important part in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of many diseases. Medical laboratory technicians perform a wide variety of tests and laboratory procedures that require a high level of skill. Medical laboratory technicians work under the supervision of medical technologist or clinical laboratory scientist in all areas of the clinical laboratory. - ParamedicParamedic
Students in the Paramedic program work in the pre-hospital setting and they are prepared to be among the first responders to an emergency room situation. Students in this program take courses which prepare them for roles in public education, health promotion as well as how to respond to emergency calls. Graduates of this program may apply for entry-level EMT (Emergency Medical technician) positions. - Practical NursingPractical Nursing
This program prepares students to care for patients by providing technical knowledge in routine nursing duties, making appointments, maintaining patient records, and performing clerical duties.
