The Nursing Administration concentration provides nurse leaders the knowledge and competencies to effectively create work environments that promote professional and collaborative nursing practices and ultimately achieve quality patient care. Students will implement the role of the nurse leader/manager, as defined by the ANA scope and standards of practice and demonstrate the abilities of the advanced practice nurse leader/manager, as outlined by the AACN.

Master of Science in Business Continuity Management Specializaions

  • Continuity of Governmental OperationsContinuity of Governmental Operations
    Students in the Continuity of Governmental Operations Concentration will learn how to implement a Continuity of Operations Program (COOP) at a governmental agency to ensure its continued functioning during a disaster. The concentration is appropriate for professionals with COOP duties at all levels of governmentâ€"federal, state, and local. The concentration also prepares students for the FEMA Professional Continuity Practitioners and Master Continuity Practitioner certifications.
  • Private Sector ContinuityPrivate Sector Continuity
    In the private sector continuity track, focus is placed on business continuity foundations and principles of Incident Management and Emergency Response. This first half of the semester emphasizes the steps needed to develop a business continuity plan and a risk management program while the second half examines how to develop a plan for responding to a business disruption.
