Overview
A two-year community college located in Palatine, IL, Harper College officially opened in September of 1967. A top institution and career training school in Chicago, Harper College offers affordable academic classes, vocational training, licenses and certification programs in over 20 departments, from graphic arts and computer information systems to engineering science. Harper College offers scholarships, grants, loans or student employment as financial assistance to qualified applicants, including Federal Pell Grant, Federal SEOG Grant (up to $500), Illinois Veteran's Grant/Illinois National Guard Grant, Federal College Work Study, and Federal Subsidized Student Loan.

• Autodesk Mechanical (Inventor) DesignerAutodesk Mechanical (Inventor) Designer
  Students of this program acquire the foundational skills for the Autodesk Inventor modeling and mechanical design software necessary to pursue the Autodesk Inventor Certified Associate and Autodesk Inventor Certified Professional certifications.
• Cisco CCNA Network SpecialistCisco CCNA Network Specialist
  Students of this program learn how to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches to build networks of small to medium size and connect them to larger WANs. Graduates are eligible for the Cisco CCNA professional IT certification exam.
• Cisco CCNA Security SpecialistCisco CCNA Security Specialist
  Students learn how to recognize network vulnerabilities and take steps to mitigate threats throughout the courses, and become qualified for the Cisco CCNA and Cisco CCNA Security professional IT certifications.
• Computer and Network Security SpecialistComputer and Network Security Specialist
  This 160-hour CE Certificate program covers installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and security of computer hardware, software, operating systems, peripherals, cabling, and networks. It provides the common prerequisite for more advanced programs, in addition to preparing students for three highly recognized IT professional certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, and CompTIA Security+, with vouchers included for all three exams.
