Overview
For more than 50 years, Dover Business College has provided students with a career-focused education for training in their field of choice. The school offers comprehensive programs in the healthcare field, business industry and the ever-changing information technology field. Dover also offers some of the latest computer equipment and software to give students a smooth transition into the workforce upon completion of their program of choice. There are three locations throughout New Jersey.
Student Appeal
Leading up to and after graduation, the Dover Career Services Department is involved in helping students find a job. By helping students with interview techniques, resume assistance and job placement services, students find a job in their field soon after graduating. Alumni can even return to the school for refresher courses to help them stay up-to-date with new technologies and information. In addition, Dover Business College is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools.
Financial Aid
Students can begin the financial aid process by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Once it is evaluated, the school's financial aid staff determines the amount of eligibility for each student. Students can take advantage of a variety of programs to help them pay tuition, including a Federal Pell Grant or Federal Subsidized Stafford Loans. Private scholarships are also encouraged and available for eligible students.

Students develop strong accounting and computerized accounting skills to complement a business focus in organization and communication. A diploma in Business Administration - Computerized Accounting allows graduates to pursue entry-level careers in business or accounting.

This program enables students to excel in entry-level office positions by providing focused education in office management principles, communication, leadership, and organization. - Licensed Practical NurseLicensed Practical Nurse
This program's curriculum focuses on training students for a career in the clinical healthcare industry. Graduates find jobs in hospitals, dental surgeons' offices, rehabilitation centers, assisted living facilities and a variety of other places. Upon completion, students are prepared to sit for the NCLEX-PN exam for licensures. - Medical AssistantMedical Assistant
Students in this career-focused program learn the essentials of working in a doctor's office or similar healthcare setting. Upon completion, students have the skills needed to take a patient's vital signs, collect samples, fill out paperwork and a variety of other duties associated with the Medical Assistant position. - Medical Insurance and Coding AdministrationMedical Insurance and Coding Administration
This program is designed for students wishing to enter the medical field in a more administrative setting. Students learn about medical terminology, protocol for the medical office and methods used for insurance billing. An internship is also available and graduates have a variety of options relation to jobs, including working in insurance offices, optometrist offices and many other settings. - Patient Care TechnicianPatient Care Technician
Students in this program learn how to monitor patient care while interacting with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals. Instructors emphasize patient care procedures, techniques, anatomy, terminology and clinical experiences to give a well-rounded and comprehensive training for entering the workforce. - PC Support and Network AdministrationPC Support and Network Administration
Hands-on computer experience and a business education combine to make up the bulk of this program. Students get the latest training on state-of-the-art computers equipped with the latest software applications. Upon completion, students are well-prepared to enter the workforce with a smooth transition. - Surgical Processing TechnicianSurgical Processing Technician
This program prepares students in decontamination, sterilization, preparation, and assembly of medical equipments for operating rooms and nursing units. Graduates may sit for the Certified Registered Central Service Technician exam. - Surgical TechnologistSurgical Technologist
Upon completion of this program, students have the knowledge and skills needed to assist the operating team in a hospital setting. Duties include interviewing patients before and after surgery, properly preparing the operating room and sterilizing equipment. Topics include surgical instrumentation, surgical techniques and procedures as well as clinical practicums.
